Established in 1866, Magee has an enduring legacy in handwoven Donegal fabric, made by farmers and fishermen part-time weavers in the late 1800's. This sturdy, rough material was ideal for coping with the damp and chilly climate commonly found in the North-west of Ireland.
Currently, Magee continues its tradition of weaving at its mill in Donegal, Ireland and is known worldwide as one of the most respected makers of tweed jackets, specifically the country and Donegal tweed varieties. Here at Live for Tweed, we are thrilled to carry this exceptional brand.
