Magee
Founded in 1866 Magee was founded. This hardwearing, coarse fabric was handwoven in Donegal by part-time fishermen/farmers and part-time weavers in the late 1800’s. It was the perfect fabric for dissipating the damp and cold weather, so often found in North-west Ireland.
Today Magee carry on their tradition weaving in their mill in Donegal Ireland and are one of the worlds premium makers of tweed jackets and very famous for their country and Donegal tweed jackets.
Magee is always a brand we are delighted to source at Live for Tweed.
Buying Tips
We recommend checking every image placed on the Live for Tweed website, to check the colour and condition and description. When considering purchasing one of our jackets or overcoats the most important factor to consider is to check is the measurements which is always in inches and to do this we would recommend if possible, checking it against a jacket you already own. These measurements are shown on the item description.
