CONDITION & MEASUREMENT GUIDE
We take the utmost care to ensure our clothing is of the highest quality and thoroughly inspected for faults and detailing before it is available for sale online. Most of our vintage clothing is 20-40 years old, so some signs of wear are expected. However, we provide a detailed condition guide and will always clearly point out any significant flaws in the listing. Our commitment is to provide honest, accurate descriptions of all our items, so that our customers are not disappointed when their garment arrives.
We recommend checking all the photos and measurements before purchasing.
Excellent Condition – This item has been gently used and displays only minor signs of wear. There might be occasional faint marks or slight chipping on buttons, but these are barely noticeable. Overall, it is in excellent condition.
Very Good Condition - General signs of age and wear, yet it remains in very good condition. Possible discoloration, bobbling, or even a few historical repairs may be visible; however, anything detrimental will always be mentioned in the product description.
Good Condition - While this item is in acceptable condition, it does show clear signs of wear due to its age. Flaws such as stains, discoloration, or previous repairs may be present but do not compromise the item's wearability . Any more significant issues will be prominently featured in the product description.
MEASUREMENTS
Before buying any item from our Live for Tweed store, we highly suggest that you measure a similar garment you already own or wear for accurate results. All measurements for our items are based on when the garment is laid flat and relaxed, and may be an approximation. We may occasionally recommend a certain size to fit a small, medium or large size label, however, this could depend on the fit needed, and what type of undergarments are being worn, so be sure to check your measurements first. Additionally, one often forgotten element is the sleeve length, which may vary from size to size - make sure to take this into consideration as well.
Top Tip – Allow room for undergarments, on the occasion we do recommend a size to fit if it has been labelled as a small, medium or large. However, this can vary by individual dependant on undergarments worn and desired fit needed, so please check your measurements before purchasing.
