Classic vintage Barbour Solway Zipper A98 men's waxed cotton jacket in a traditional olive brown colour, featuring a contrasting dark brown corduroy collar and classic Barbour tartan lining. Made in England in 1986, this is a genuine vintage piece with wonderful character and an authentic aged appearance. A timeless British country jacket, ideal for outdoor pursuits, country walks and everyday wear.
Features traditional waxed cotton construction, contrasting corduroy collar, full-length zip fastening with press-stud storm flap, three front patch pockets including a chest pocket, raglan sleeves, adjustable collar fastening and classic Barbour tartan lining. The jacket has developed a distinctive weathered patina over the years, adding to its vintage appeal.
Condition
Very good vintage condition for its age, with no holes or tears. The waxed cotton shows general patina, scuffs and discolouration throughout, together with noticeable crease marks to both sleeves and lighter areas where the wax has aged through wear. There is also a prominent white mark to the right sleeve. Blacked out name on Barbour label. The original belt is missing. These signs of age and use add to the jacket's authentic vintage character. Would benefit from rewaxing in time. Please see photographs.
